I’m an art director turned UX designer and I freaking love it

I’m a 40 year old Ecuadorian with 15 years of experience working as an art director and 5 years working as a UX Designer.

I’m an effective communicator of conceptual ideas, with a high degree of visual literacy. I’m comfortable leading and collaborating with internal and remote teams to ensure projects with the highest level of quality. I’m obsessed with design consistency for layouts, color schemes, and typography. I have a deep experience working with design and marketing agencies.

I believe great design should be democratized and be more accessible. After 20 years in the industry, I have solved complex design problems, while maintaining a commitment to a user-centered design process and UX principles. I have helped start-ups increase venture capital valuations, optimize workflows, and expand their business.

Sometimes I think I’m an Avenger

I know Kung-fu and I am an Ironman triathlete. My proudest moment is completing (surviving) the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawai’i, in 2012.

Now my racing days are behind me. So I spend my free time riding my motorcycle, doing romantic walks in Target with my girlfriend, eating (probably too much), watching movies, geeking out about comics, anime, and all things Star Wars, and training so I can eat some more.
